Nadia Elena Comaneci

It was during the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she achieved one of the greatest sporting moments of all time - - the first ever perfect 10 on the asymmetrical bars. Furthermore, she scored six more 10s perfect and made her 14 years of young, the youngest Olympic medalist in all categories. Nadia Comaneci did not just attract attention from all over the world, she also brought Romania on the map. In achieving an unachievable result she became a legend and promoted gymnastics throughout the world. The sport also altered the perception of female gymnasts. The impact of her performance at the Olympics is significant enough that the toe movement (release) and the toe step were both named after her on the event uneven bars. Also, she performed very well in World Championships, European Championships, and Olympics. This has made her famous, and she's one of the most famous gymnasts in the world. In the US she tried to promote the sport and fashion industry following her departure from her home country. Nadia Nadia Nadia Nadia 2 Nadia
