Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid critic of films that are Z-graded typically in the martial arts or horror types. Her style and approach are similar to that of The Cinema Snob. However she is more inclined to watch silly action flicks with a morbid fascination. Her reviews started in the latter half of 2009, and after she gained some fame (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used) Allison Pregler subsequently became part of the family at Channel Awesome. She continued to be a part of the site from January until the beginning of 2015 in which the channel Obscurus Lupa Presents was changed to Movie Nights. The presenter hosts two podcasts. One covering the Charmed series and the second one hosted by Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. When she began reviewing films in 2009 the actress gained popularity in the forums of Channel Awesome. After becoming part of the official group of Channel Awesome reviewers, she was a household name. Her appearances have been in numerous Channel Awesome programs, from Atop the Fourth Wall and Phelous & the Movies to Atop the Fourth Wall. She was a former member of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and would often appear in episodes of the Nostalgia Critic.
