Instead, it's in honor of her strangely called grandfather. He was a World War II pilot and was involved in the Goldsboro B-5 accident. When Tulloch started acting, her role, she was initially credited as Bitsie as she remained until 2017, when she chose to change her name Elizabeth instead explaining: I continue to go by Bitsie. When I introduce strangers, Bitsie is still the name I use. It was a good name for me when I began acting during my early 20s. Now I am in my 30s, and I feel that for the sake of billing, I would like to go back to Elizabeth. While I was filming, I didn't think about it. The producer said "Hey we saw Elizabeth while we filled out your legal paperwork." Is that the way you would like to be billed? Then I started thinking about this. I then contacted my boss, and both of them said it was a good idea. It's a bit older. Bitsie must be a pretty cute name. Its cutesy. All it really was? Then I will not introduce me to you under the name of Elizabeth. The name will be used for the rest of my life. Tulloch comes from Scottish as well as Spanish descent. Tulloch claims that her primary mother tongue was Spanish however she no longer believes she is fluent in Spanish. Her grandfather's family came located in Kirkwall and her grandmother's was from Renfrewshire. In an interview on BBC News she reported that it is believed that the first Tulloch arrived in the US around 1880 and the Kerrs arrived in the early 1900s.
